Responsibilities
This is a full-time position and offers full benefits with the opportunity for overtime and to cover various shifts if interested. The basic purpose of nursing is to provide safe, competent nursing care for patients in accordance with facility policies, standards, and philosophy. Nursing will also provide professional leadership and support to the healthcare team. The concepts of Patient Centered Care will provide the foundation for all nursing care.
Demonstrates Service Excellence standards at all times. The Standards of Practice set forth by the professional nursing associations will provide guidelines for the competent, safe and professional practice.
Texoma Medical Center (TMC), a 414-bed acute care facility, has provided quality health care to residents of North Texas and Southern Oklahoma since 1965. Our main campus is in Denison, Texas, approximately one hour north of the Dallas/Fort Worth area, and just south of the Texas/Oklahoma border. We operate multiple facilities across the Texoma region. TMC offers major specialty services including open heart surgery and neurosurgery.
Advanced resources such as certified trauma care support TMC’s role as a regional specialty center.

Registered Nurse (RN) Job Requirements:
- Current Texas nursing license or compact license
- One year full-time experience in an acute care setting
- RQI BLS and ACLS required
- BLS (Basic Life Support) Healthcare Provider course according to RQI program guidelines; all required Emergency Cardiovascular Care (ECC) Healthcare Provider courses will be provided during new hire orientation or upon transfer and must be completed prior to working in a clinical setting
- Must successfully pass any pre-employment assessment(s) required by the facility
- Must be able to identify and competently address the needs of the populations served
