Lead Case Mgr; Rn

Responsibilities

Responsible for analyzing information and workflows within UR/CM to improve patient care. This position will oversee effective technical concepts and initiatives along with UR/CM leadership to improve operations. Responsible for leading and organizing administrative activities to ensure compliance with local, state, federal and private agencies as related to case management and utilization review. Will serve as subject matter expert and ensure requested documentation and reporting is done accurately and timely.

The lead role will also manage a unit assignment, provide guidance and clinical consultation to the RN case manager team, conduct teaching and training as needed, assess staff performance and discipline as necessary, plan the work schedule to meet departmental needs, and formulate and implement policies and protocols for the unit.

A minimum of an Associate's degree in Nursing; a Bachelor's degree preferred.

Minimum of 3 years’ experience in varied clinical settings. Two years’ experience in Utilization Review or Case Management. Field‑related supervisory experience preferred.

Licensed by the Texas State Board of Nursing or compact state as a Registered Nurse.

Must demonstrate excellent interpersonal, communication and problem‑solving skills necessary to gather and exchange data, both internally and externally, with key medical professionals, patients and patient family members. Able to effectively utilize critical thinking and problem‑resolution skills. Must be able to effectively communicate with key community stakeholders to appropriately assist patients.
