Responsibilities

Texoma Medical Center is a 414‑bed acute care facility located in Denison, Texas, serving North Texas and Southern Oklahoma since 1965. The main campus is approximately one hour north of the Dallas/Fort Worth area and just south of the Texas/Oklahoma border.

We provide a range of services, including open‑heart surgery, neurosurgery, certified trauma care, and other specialty services to support regional needs.

Works under the direction of a licensed nurse to assist in meeting the physical and psychosocial needs of patients in a professional and timely manner. Performs various tasks as competency documentation designates, provides direct care with limited invasive procedures, and completes other duties as assigned.

• Reading and numerical competency; must be proficient with technology and computers.
• Previous caregiving experience preferred. Must demonstrate basic caregiving skills and essential job functions.
• BLS (Basic Life Support) mandatory. All ECC courses will be provided during orientation or upon transfer and must be completed before working in a clinical setting. Must successfully complete "Handle with Care" within 6 months of hire/transfer and annually thereafter.
• Must demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide appropriate care for the age of the patients served on the assigned unit/department, and report patient welfare, safety and security to RN.
