Texoma Medical Center, a 414-bed acute care facility has been providing quality health care to the residents of North Texas and Southern Oklahoma since 1965. Basic Purpose of the Job:
Assume shift responsibility and accountability for the planning and provision of direct and indirect nursing care to the patient, family, care partner and appropriate others. Coordinates multi-disciplinary team members, directs and facilitates nursing staff in obtaining safe, optimal healthcare outcomes. Supports activities that meet the facility vision, mission and goals. Provides professional leadership and support to the healthcare team. Oversees and guides employees that are under his/her supervision.

The concepts of patient centered care will provide the foundation for all nursing care. Demonstrate professionalism and service excellence standards at all times.

Qualifications

Job Requirements:

Education per RN licensure requirement, BSN preferred, Two years experience in acute care specialty nursing. One year charge nurse or supervisory experience preferred. Must maintain all clinical competencies for area of supervision. Current RN licensure in the State of Texas, or compact. BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS Healthcare Provider course according to RQI program guidelines and all required Emergency Cardiovascular Care (ECC) Healthcare Provider courses will be provided during new hire orientation or upon transfer, and must be completed prior to working in a clinical setting.

Must maintain all proficiencies required by area of supervision. Clinical certification in area of supervision preferred (i.e. CCRN, PCCN, etc. Must be clinically competent in area of population served. Must demonstrate knowledge and ability to work effectively with all levels of personnel. Must possess excellent communication skills and demonstrate team leadership. Must have the ability to problem solve and think critically.

Must possess basic computer application skills.
