Financial Modeling Coordinator

This position exists to ensure that every line item in BVT's financial model templates is identified, assigned to a responsible party, tracked, and followed up to completion. It is a coordination and administrative role, not a financial analysis role. The incumbent is not expected to produce financial projections; they are expected to manage the process by which projections are confirmed, documented, and version-controlled across internal staff and external consortium partners.

Responsibilities

Maintain the master financial model tracking register; update the status of each line item confirmed, pending, or escalated — within 48 hours of each modeling session.

Issue structured follow-up correspondence to named responsible parties for every outstanding item; maintain a written record of all follow-up actions taken.

Schedule and prepare agendas for financial modeling sessions with internal PMU staff and external partners; produce action registers with named owners and agreed deadlines.

Enforce version control across all model iterations; ensure a single active working version is in circulation at any given time.

Produce a weekly status summary for the Head of Operations covering items confirmed in the current week, items still pending, and items requiring escalation.

Coordinate with the Senior Finance Officer to flag pending assumptions that may affect budget submissions or donor reporting timelines.

Serve as the administrative liaison to external modeling counterparts as directed by the Head of Operations.

Preferred Qualifications

Exposure to MPTF, GCF, UNDP, or comparable multilateral grant budgeting frameworks.

Familiarity with results-based budgeting or work-breakdown-structure (WBS) budget formats.

Experience using project tracking platforms such as Asana, Notion, or

Working knowledge of English-language financial model templates used in climate finance or conservation finance contexts.
