Controller

Are you a strategic finance leader who thrives in a fast-paced manufacturing environment? We're looking for a Controller to lead our accounting operations and drive financial excellence. In this key leadership role, you'll oversee month-end close, financial reporting, AP/AR, payroll accounting, cash management, audits, and internal controls while partnering with operations and leadership teams to support business growth. Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Lead, coach, develop, and hold the accounting team accountable for performance, accuracy, timeliness, professionalism, and cross-functional service.
  • Ensure the timely and accurate processing of all accounting transactions, including Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, payroll, fixed assets, and cash management.
  • Lead the month-end close process, including oversight of balance sheet reconciliations and financial statement preparation.
  • Manage weekly cash flow forecasting and cash management activities.
  • Maintain accurate financial records and ensure timely preparation of financial reports.
  • Perform Profit & Loss analysis, variance analysis, and other ad hoc financial analyses.
  • Support cost accounting, inventory accounting, and FP&A activities through accurate cost analysis and operational insights.
  • Assist with monthly forecasting, annual budgeting, and cost management initiatives.
  • Ensure effective internal controls are established and maintained in compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and applicable federal, state, and local regulations.
  • Serve as the primary contact for internal, external, and SOX audits.
  • Coordinate and oversee corporate reporting requests, including support for tax preparation, quarterly filings, annual filings, and other corporate financial reporting requirements.
  • Partner with Operations, Supply Chain, Human Resources, Finance Leadership, and Site Leadership to provide accounting expertise, operational analysis, and financial information for planning and decision-making.

Required

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting from an accredited four-year university
  • 10+ years of progressive accounting experience
  • 5+ years of accounting leadership or managerial experience

Preferred

Education and Experience:

  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation
  • 5+ years of accounting experience within a public company environment
  • 5+ years of accounting experience within a manufacturing environment
