Department Summary

The College of Information (COI) at the University of North Texas prepares students, advances knowledge, and serves communities at the intersection of information, people, and technology. COI brings together strengths in data science, health informatics, information science, learning technologies, library science, and linguistics through applied research to address complex challenges facing organizations and society. Through student-centered education, impactful scholarship, and deep engagement with partners across North Texas and beyond, the college advances UNT's public mission by developing talent, discovering knowledge, and driving innovation for the public good.

The mission of the Department of Learning Technologies is to enhance learning and performance through innovative research, teaching, and service focused on, but not limited to: learning technology, information, language, and computing technologies to advance human performance, training, learning, and cognitive development.

Position Overview

This position serves the department, demonstrating a customer service philosophy while interacting with students, staff, faculty and other internal and external people, and works towards ensuring a culture of service. Responsibilities for the position include but are not limited to management of the departmental budget and processing and tracking various HR and payroll transactions. This position requires occasional work outside of an 8-5 schedule for planned events.

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor's degree and two years of highly responsible and varied office administration or business management experience; or any equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.

Knowledge of accounting/budgeting procedures.

Preferred Qualifications

Familiarity with UNT procedures and policies, including Power

Required License/Registration/Certifications

Job Duties

* Oversees the administrative operations of the department including, but not limited to, conducting annual space survey, placing facilities work orders, processing key authorization requests for department access, and picking up and delivering mail.

* Manages, processes, and tracks/reconciles daytoday payment authorizations, contracts, and requisitions, including pcard purchases. Oversees accurate and timely completion of purchase requests and travel authorizations and reimbursements.
