Department Summary

The UNT System Human Resources Department is one department made of a team of teams that supports various constituencies and component institutions within our UNT System Enterprise while working together to achieve the vision of becoming an enterprise that is values‑driven and customer‑focused with an emphasis on excellence, curiosity, and innovation. There are exciting things on the horizon, and we are looking for experienced and innovative HR professionals to join our journey.

Position Overview

The Talent Acquisition Assistant will provide administrative and operational support to the Talent Acquisition (TA) team. This position will be responsible for managing the TA shared inbox, assisting with I‑9 compliance activities, supporting the processing of hires, and contributing to special projects to improve recruitment operations.

Minimum Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent. Experience providing administrative, clerical, or customer service support in an office environment.

Knowledge,

Skills and Abilities
  • Knowledge of general office practices and procedures.
  • Knowledge of basic employment and onboarding processes, including Form I‑9 compliance (or willingness to learn).
  • Skill in using Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel) and the ability to learn new software quickly.
  • Skill in written and verbal communication, with the ability to interact clearly and professionally.
  • Skill in organizing work, managing multiple priorities, and meeting deadlines in a fast‑paced environment.
  • Ability to analyze information for accuracy and completeness.
  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team.
  • Ability to adapt to changing priorities and contribute to process improvement initiatives.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Some college preferred.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel) and ability to learn new systems quickly.
