From early-phase R&D to process design and product transfers. Our client is a trusted partner to industry leaders around the globe in the following core markets:

- Industrial & Consumer
We have been retained to find them an experienced BUYER!
Responsibilities- Develops and executes sourcing strategies.
- Selects, assesses, approves, and onboards new suppliers
- Manages supplier performance and supplier relations.
- Collaboratively plans and executes purchasing support of new product development.
- Assesses, manages, and mitigates risk associated with their assigned spend.
- Develops and executes profit improvement and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Develops and deploys purchasing process, policy, and best practices.
- Analyzes spend to identify opportunities to drive out cost, manage risk, and add value
- Performs other functions and responsibilities as assigned.
- Bachelor’s degree in Materials Management, Business Management or similar field.
- High level of knowledge in material planning and manufacturing process. Broad knowledge of supply/demand process, category management and strategic sourcing.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills with outstanding attention to detail
- Understanding of Lean principles
- Excellent negotiation skills
- APICS certified in Production and Inventory Management (CPIM) or Certified Supply chain Professional (CSCP) a plus.
- Lean or Green Belt Six Sigma certification a plus.
All candidates must be eligible to work on government contracts.
