Business Development, Operations Manager
Responsibilities
- Developing and executing sales and marketing strategies to optimize North American and Canadian opportunities within the aerospace and defense markets
- Building, maintaining, and expanding long‑term customer relationships from initial engagement through contract award
- Leading proposal development, business case creation, internal approvals, and customer submissions
- Negotiating contracts, including pricing and terms and conditions, to ensure long‑term profitability
- Providing ongoing customer support from contract award through program stabilization
- Coordinating cross‑functionally with operations, manufacturing, engineering, finance, purchasing, and inside sales
- Representing the company at industry events and trade shows while delivering customer and market insights to support budgeting and growth
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Aerospace, Mechanical, or Electrical) preferred, or Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field
- Minimum 7 years of experience in similar roles within the aerospace and defense industries
- Strong experience in contract negotiation, pricing, and commercial business case development
- Knowledge of aerospace and defense products, technologies, and regulatory environments (including ITAR)
- Ability to travel domestically and internationally up to 50%
