Position OverviewThe Director of Marketing & Fan Engagement is responsible for managing, creating, and coordinating marketing and promotional campaigns for all UNT Athletics’ intercollegiate programs that enhance the game day experience, increase attendance, and enhance student engagement. The position works closely with student organizations, campus departments, the Denton community, and greater DFW community to create a positive fan environment and brand recognition.
Minimum QualificationsBachelor's degree in a related field and three years of related experience; or any equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
Knowledge,Skills and Abilities
- Thorough knowledge and understanding of NCAA rules and regulations.
- Working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite, especially Photoshop and InDesign.
- Working knowledge of Shoflo scripting software.
- Working knowledge of Eloqua and Paciolan.
Master's Degree.
Job Duties- Designs and implements sport-specific marketing campaigns for promotional elements and ticketing when applicable with the goal of cultivating and retaining fans.
- Produces and directs designated sporting and community engagement events.
- Processes information and gathers assets from external departments including cross-campus partners, sponsors, and community groups to properly market and showcase digital and in-game elements.
- Facilitates on-campus and community grass roots initiatives to increase fan attendance and spread the Mean Green brand.
- Works with other units in the athletics department to help accomplish common goals of storytelling and revenue generation.
- Communicating with others to exchange information.
- Lifting and moving objects up to 100 pounds or more.
- Operating motor vehicles or heavy equipment.
- Repeating motions that may include the wrists, hands and/or fingers.
- Sedentary work that primarily involves sitting/standing.

Work Schedule8:00am-5:00pm Monday through Friday with some evenings and weekend events.
