Position Summary
The Texas Health and Human Services Commission (HHSC) seeks a Campus Administrator to serve as the after‑hours on‑duty professional oversight staff at the Denton State Supported Living Center. The role involves continuous monitoring of the facility, immediate response to emergencies, conducting investigations, and coordinating service delivery during evening hours (typically 5PM–1AM).
Key Responsibilities- Oversee and monitor homes and grounds, addressing unusual occurrences, emergencies, and incidents immediately.
- Document nightly issues, concerns, and incidents for administrative review.
- Serve as contact person for abuse/neglect allegations and as the first responding professional staff on critical incidents.
- Initiate preliminary incident reports, conduct investigations, and recommend improvements to the team and administration.
- Complete special audits and trending projects to ensure ongoing service delivery and the health and safety of residents.
- Coordinate with administrative and supervisory staff to monitor and improve service delivery.
- Work independently with initiative and judgment under limited supervision, reporting directly to the Incident Manager.
- Maintain knowledge of facility operating procedures, standards, and safety protocols.
- Provide training and in‑service instruction to facility staff on approved policies and procedures.
- Participate in disaster response, recovery, and continuity of operations as required.
- Graduation from an accredited four‑year college or university, or a high school diploma with six years of experience.
- Minimum of two years of experience working with individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities, responding to emergencies, conducting audits, or investigating abuse/neglect.
- Experience supervising, training, and supervising projects preferred.
- Knowledge of ICF/IID standards, facility operating procedures, and behavioral support plans.
- Strong communication skills, both oral and written.
- Ability to exercise good judgment in unusual incidents and to perform direct contact duties.
- Willingness to work flexible shifts, including overnights, weekends, and holidays.
- Position requires passing a fingerprint criminal background check, pre‑employment drug screen, and registry checks.
- Males aged 18–25 must register with Selective Service.
- All applicants must be at least 18 years old.
- Up to 5% travel may be required.
- Telework is not eligible for this position.
