Shift: 9:00am-5:00pm (Monday-Friday)
Position SummaryThe Sales Counselor plays an integral role in customer’s first impression experience to make Denton Village their home. The role will provide customer service and clerical support to the Independent Livining Manager with varied clerical duties and related tasks.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities- Welcomes new potential residents and visitors.
- Maintain calendars, spreadsheets, brochures, notices and flyers
- Answers telephones; screens calls, forwards calls and /or records and forwards messages accurately
- Monitor and maintain office equipment
- Responsible for maintaining a professional and kempt appearance of Independent Living office
- Types forms, form letters and other documents as needed, collates and photocopies materials as necessary
- Manage office supply orders and maintenance of office supplies
- Maintains customer confidentiality in conformance with facility confidentiality policy
- Receive calls and emails requesting information and tours of independent living
- Keep referral system always updated (Welcome Home program)
- Conduct knowledgeable tours of our community
- Actively communicate with prospective residents on a regular basis to increase census
- Be active in our community when required and maintain positive relationships with the residents of our senior community.
- Phone calls answered and transferred timely and accurately
- Maintain incoming referrals and respond in a timely manner
- Work area is organized and well maintained
- Internal and external customer requests are met
- Supportive and resourceful information is delivered as requested by customers

Work EnvironmentThis job operates in a post-acute setting. This role requires regular walking to various locations around the facility.
This role also routinely comes into contact with patients who may have contagious illnesses. Team members are expected to adhere to facility’s no-smoking policy.
Physical DemandsWhile performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear. This position is very
active and requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, and stooping all day. The employee must frequently lift
and/or move items over 20 pounds.
Position Type and Expected Hours of WorkThis is a position in a post-acute setting that is open 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. Monday through Friday. Occasional Weekend tours.
