• Sets up, adjusts, and operates audiovisual equipment for various camp programs, including worship services and concerts.
• Operates and installs audio/visual equipment.
• Keeps the sound room clean and organized.
• Reports any problems with audiovisual equipment to the Program Director.
• Secures and locks all audio/visual equipment after each session.
• Videotapes camp activities daily.
• Produces a weekly review video for each camp session, including all music camps; produces a staff video and camp promotional video.
• Instructs camp employees in the selection, use, and design of audiovisual materials, and assists them in preparing instructional materials and rehearsing presentations.
• Plans and prepares audio/visual teaching aids and methods to be used in camp classes.
• Performs simple maintenance tasks such as cleaning monitors and lenses and changing batteries and light bulbs.
• Maintains collections of audiovisual materials, including films, video/audio tapes, photographs, and software programs.
• Ensures campers and staff follow safety procedures.
• Participates enthusiastically as a member of the camp staff team to deliver and supervise evening programs, special events, overnights, and other all-camp activities and camp functions.
• Sits with camper tables during meals and serves as a table monitor when needed.
• Keeps personal living quarters neat, clean, and ready for inspection.
• Be available to participate and assist with camp programs and activities as directed by the Camp Director.

• Knowledge of media production, communication, dissemination techniques, and methods.
• Knowledge of electronic equipment, computer hardware, and software.
• Knowledge of the principles and practices of modern video production.
• Knowledge of The Salvation Army’s mission, philosophy, culture, and protocol.
• Ability to embrace, support, and promote The Salvation Army's mission and ministry.
• Ability to represent The Salvation Army professionally.
• Ability to build and maintain effective mentor relationships with children.
• Ability to communicate effectively with campers and camp staff.
• Ability to perform life‑saving techniques, C.P.R., and first aid procedures in emergencies.
• Ability to operate digital cameras and video equipment.
• Ability to communicate and work with groups participating (age and skill levels) and provide necessary instruction to campers and staff.
• Ability to observe camper and staff behavior, assess its appropriateness, enforce appropriate safety regulations and emergency procedures, and apply appropriate behavior‑management techniques.
• Visual and auditory ability to identify and respond to environmental and other hazards related to the activity.
• Physical ability to respond appropriately to situations requiring first aid; must be able to assist campers in an emergency (fire, evacuation, illness, or injury) and possess the strength and endurance required to maintain constant supervision of campers.

Two years’ experience in video production preferred, or any equivalent combination of training and experience that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.
