Department SummaryThe Parking & Transportation department supports the university community by promoting safe, accessible, and efficient parking and transportation services across campus. Parking & Transportation Attendants play a key role in these efforts by assisting with parking enforcement, providing exceptional customer service, and serving as a visible resource for students, faculty, staff, and visitors. Through daily interactions with the campus community, attendants help maintain orderly parking operations, support transportation initiatives, and contribute to a welcoming and well-managed campus environment.
Position OverviewThe Booth Attendant serves as a primary point of contact for individuals visiting the University of North Texas (UNT) and plays an important role as an ambassador for the university. This position provides exceptional customer service to students, faculty, staff, visitors, parents, university officials, and community members while assisting with parking-related needs and questions.
Minimum QualificationsThe successful candidate will provide exceptional customer service to students, faculty, staff, and campus visitors while supporting safe and efficient parking operations in a fast-paced environment. Candidates should demonstrate professionalism, dependability, and the ability to assist the campus community during routine operations and special events.
- High school diploma or GED.
- Demonstrated customer service skills with the ability to interact professionally and courteously with students, faculty, staff, patients, visitors, and the general public.
- Strong verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to follow established policies, procedures, and safety protocols.
- Basic computer skills and ability to learn parking management software, handheld devices, and payment systems.
- Ability to exercise sound judgment and resolve routine customer concerns in a professional manner.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Reliable attendance and punctuality.
- Ability to identify, document, and report parking violations, safety hazards, maintenance issues, and security concerns.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, holidays, and special events.
- Successful completion of required background checks.
