Position OverviewThe Department of Physics invites applications for a tenure‑track faculty position at the Assistant Professor level, with a competitive startup, salary, and benefit packages. Candidates should develop a vigorous and externally funded research program, teach effectively at the undergraduate and graduate levels, mentor student research, and provide service to the department, university, and community. The research focus is extragalactic astrophysics.
Minimum Qualifications- Ph.D. in physics or astrophysics.
- At least one year of postdoctoral experience, or equivalent professional experience, after the Ph.D.
- Commitment to teaching.
- Ability to maintain the security and integrity of organizational infrastructure related to this role.
- Specialization in extragalactic astrophysics.
Communicating with others to exchange information.
Environmental HazardsNo adverse environmental conditions expected.
