The College of Visual Arts and Design (CVAD) at the University of North Texas (UNT) invites applications for a full-time Professional Faculty Lecturer of Art History to develop hybrid courses (≥51% online). The successful candidate will develop online content for two courses:
Art Appreciation for non-art majors and Art History Survey 1, and teach two in‑person discussion sections of each course. The faculty lead will supervise a team of adjuncts, teaching fellows, and/or teaching assistants responsible for additional discussion sections. Additional responsibilities include service to the department, college, and university, and continued enhancement of the art history department. Faculty may receive funding to attend academic conferences and workshops to support course content and pedagogy.

• Doctoral degree in art history or a relevant discipline conferred by the time of appointment.
• At least one year of online college-level teaching experience as instructor of record.

• Demonstrated experience in online content creation and course development.
• Record of online content creation, development, and implementation for college-level Art Appreciation and Survey 1 courses specifically.
