Position OverviewThe Department of Biological Sciences seeks qualified individuals for its Adjunct Instructor pool and welcomes applicants at any time. This posting is for the Fall 2026, Spring 2027, and Summer 2027 semesters. The specific courses available vary from semester to semester and openings to teach these courses develop on a periodic basis, depending on department teaching needs and student enrollment.
As professional part‑time faculty, Adjunct Instructors plan classes, implement learning objectives, evaluate student learning outcomes, and adhere to college, departmental, and division responsibilities, including holding regular office hours.
Minimum Qualifications- Master’s degree with 18 advanced/graduate hours in an area of Biological Sciences relevant to the course assignment(s).
- Demonstrated college teaching experience required.
- Requirements may differ for specialty course(s).
- Ph.D. in the area of Biological Sciences relevant to the course assignment(s) and three years of demonstrated college teaching experience.
- Requirements may differ for specialty course(s).
