Lecturer II in Business Law
The Merrilee Alexander Kick College of Business and Entrepreneurship is searching for a Lecturer II in Business Law beginning August 2026. This position supports teaching undergraduate and graduate courses on business law and ethics within the Merrilee Alexander Kick College of Business & Entrepreneurship.
Qualified candidates should possess relevant academic credentials and experience, including a JD degree and active legal work. Responsibilities include teaching business law and ethics courses in face-to-face, online, or hybrid formats. Participation in college meetings and service is also expected.
COLLEGE AND UNIVERSITY INFORMATION
The TWU Merrilee Alexander Kick College (MAK) of Business & Entrepreneurship currently has over 2,000 students, divided between undergraduate and graduate programs. The MAK College
has three areas/departments:
Department of Management & Marketing, Department of

Texas Woman's University holds a notable position in higher education as the nation's largest

ORGANIZATIONAL RELATIONSHIPS
Reports to:
Chair, Management & Marketing Department and ultimately the Executive Dean of the Merrilee Alexander Kick College of Business & Entrepreneurship
PRIMARY DUTIES - May include, but are not limited to, the following:
* Teaching undergraduate courses in business law and ethics.
* Working collaboratively with MAK colleagues and other academic personnel to conduct and oversee academic quality, including, but not limited to, program-level assessment related to business law and ethics.
* Attending regular college and departmental meetings and retreats, as schedule allows.
* Supporting the MAK College in service positions as needed.
EDUCATION
* Candidates must hold an earned Juris Doctor degree
EXPERIENCE & SKILLS (Preferred):
* Active work in the legal profession.
* Experience with business law and ethics.
* Prior teaching experience.
SAFETY

Employees must report any unsafe work conditions or practices, as well as any near-miss incidents, to their supervisor and Risk Management. Supervisors and employees should ensure that injury/accident reports are submitted to the Office of Human Resources and Risk Management within 24 hours of the incident.
