Position OverviewThe Frank W. and Sue Mayborn School of Journalism seeks qualified individuals for its Adjunct Instructor pool and welcomes applicants at any time. This posting is for the Fall 2026, Spring 2027, and Summer 2027 semesters. Courses may vary from semester to semester and depend on departmental teaching needs.
Teaching responsibilities include:
- News Writing – Introductory and Advanced
- Photojournalism – Introductory and Advanced
- Broadcast – Introductory and Advanced
- Magazine Writing and Publishing – Undergraduate and Graduate
- Race, Gender & Media;
Sports, Food, Music and Opinion Journalism - Digital Media for Journalists
- Law & Ethics
Bachelor's degree in journalism or a related field and at least 10 years of direct professional experience in media.
Preferred Qualifications- Master's degree in journalism or a related field and three years of full‑time experience in media and/or college teaching.
- Experience teaching online classes is a plus.
