Contractual Details

Full-Time Equivalent (FTE) varies based on assignment. Positions are semesterly assignments covering Fall 2026, Spring 2027, and Summer 2027. Retirement eligibility is available for semesterly assignments. This is a security-sensitive position.

Available Semesters

Fall 2026, Spring 2027, and Summer 2027 semesters.

Responsibilities

Teach undergraduate Beginning and Intermediate Italian courses.
Collaborate with the Italian section coordinator to ensure alignment with department expectations.
Provide one hour of office hours per week for each course taught.

Minimum Qualifications

M.A. in Italian or related discipline.
At least 18 graduate credit hours directly related to Italian courses.

Preferred Qualifications

Teaching experience.
Experience with HSI/MSIs or proficiency in one or more of the following:
Spanish, Vietnamese, American Sign Language, Chinese (Cantonese, Mandarin), Arabic, Tagalog, Farsi, French, Yoruba.
