Title: Associate Registrar
Position OverviewThis position provides strategic oversight of Curriculum, Scheduling, and Transfer, ensuring continuity and continuous improvement of processes, systems and student services. It supports enrollment and retention through the coordination of student, academic, and curricular records, collaboration with campus partners, and implementation of new initiatives.
Minimum QualificationsBachelor's degree and five or more years of progressively responsible experience in academic administration or a related field; or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
Knowledge, Skills, and AbilitiesDemonstrated competency in administering services and operations in a college/university environment, problem solving, change management, staff hiring and development, customer service, collaboration, initiative, diplomacy and professionalism. Ability to evaluate and resolve problems and manage conflict in a team environment. Knowledge of federal educational laws and use of information technology.
Preferred QualificationsMaster's degree and a minimum of 6 years of increasing responsibility in higher education, particularly in a Registrar or Enrollment Management Office, with experience using higher education systems.
Job Duties- Manage multiple functional areas within the Office of the Registrar and mentor staff to meet business needs.
- Provide supervision and direction for continuous improvement, ensuring accuracy, compliance and continuity of operations and policies.
- Support programs and systems that facilitate enrollment and retention, including hiring, training, evaluation, coaching and development of staff.
- Plan and develop communications and documentation related to student record maintenance, processes, procedures and events for diverse audiences.
- Ensure productivity, collaboration and coordination across all areas of the Office of the Registrar.
- Engage with university leadership on business processes and academic data that impact enrollment and retention.
- Serve as escalation point for complex operational issues and implement proactive solutions.
- Document core processes for operational efficiency, monitor compliance and recommend procedural changes.
- Assist the University Registrar in prioritizing and implementing competing projects, managing staff resources efficiently.
- Represent the University Registrar on various committees related to registration, records, and academic scheduling.
