Position OverviewAdjunct Assistant Instructors support undergraduate Foundations courses within a coordinated lecture/lab model under the supervision of the instructor of record. Appointments are made on a per-semester basis and are dependent on program needs.
Responsibilities- Assist with studio-based instruction in drawing, design, visual communication, and interdisciplinary practices.
- Facilitate small group discussions and critiques.
- Support project-based learning that integrates research, writing, and visual production.
- Assist with evaluating student work and providing feedback as directed by the instructor of record.
- Help reinforce learning outcomes in alignment with program objectives.
- Coordinate with Foundations leadership and course instructors for curricular consistency across sections.
- MFA in Visual Art, Design, or related discipline.
- Demonstrated ability to teach and make connections across various visual art and design disciplines (2D/3D/time‑based, etc.).
- Demonstrated ability to mentor students.
