ResponsibilitiesTeaching 45‑minute one‑on‑one applied lessons for ISMI participants. Each participant receives three 45‑minute lessons during one ISMI session.
Job Duties- Individual applied instruction in strings or piano
- Chamber music coaching
- Bachelor’s degree in music or closely related field, recommendation by UNT faculty member.
Skills and Abilities
- Understanding of standard violin and string chamber music repertoire, with a respect to teach students at a variety of levels.
- Experience advising and mentoring students within an academic setting.
- Professional orchestral performance experience.
- University teaching experience.
- Communicating with others to exchange information.
- Lifting and moving objects up to 20 pounds.
- Repeating motions that may include the wrists, hands and/or fingers.
- Sedentary work that primarily involves sitting/standing.
- No adverse environmental conditions expected.
- Noisy environments.
Hours will be consistent with posted daily hours for ISMI camp from July 5-12, 2026.
