Department Summary

The Department of Dance and Theatre is housed in the College of Liberal Arts and Social Sciences, with approximately 400 theatre majors and minors. The Department offers a BA in Theatre and a Minor in Dance and Theatre, along with specialized dance certificates. The undergraduate program delivers a rigorous dance and theatre education within a liberal arts context. The department produces a full season of 5-6 productions and several laboratory events directed by faculty, guest artists, or students.

The university values diversity and welcomes candidates who have experience with HSI/MSIs and/or speak various languages.

Position Overview

The Department of Dance & Theatre seeks qualified individuals for its Adjunct Instructor pool and welcomes applicants at any time. This posting is for the Fall 2026, Spring 2027, and Summer 2027 semesters. The anticipated need is for fundamental dance and theatre technique, acting, and technical design courses.

Minimum Qualifications
  • M.A. or M.F.A. in Dance or Theatre fields.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience teaching in Higher Education. Terminal degree in discipline is preferred.
Required License/Registration/Certifications
