Senior Instructional Design Consultant

University of North Texas, Ryan College of Business, Denton.

Position Overview

The Senior Instructional Design Consultant expands beyond the Entrepreneurship Major to embed entrepreneurship across STEM-based programs campus‑wide. The role leads the development of modular, discipline‑agnostic entrepreneurship content, coordinates lecture engagements with the Innovation Center, and supports accelerator‑style experiential learning units.

Responsibilities
  • Partner with faculty in Engineering, Health Sciences, and other STEM disciplines to develop discipline‑specific entrepreneurship modules and create plug‑in units that can be added to existing courses with minimal faculty lift.
  • Develop micro‑credentialing pathways in partnership with the Academic Director.
  • Translate accelerator methodologies (e.g., Gener8tor) into credit‑bearing course content, including asynchronous and synchronous modules accessible to all UNT students.
  • Continue core curriculum development for the Entrepreneurship Major in partnership with the Academic Director, ensuring alignment with updated faculty merit and workload criteria under Look North: UNT 2030.
  • Develop learning outcome frameworks and assessment tools for all entrepreneurship curricula, and track student progression from courses into competitions, accelerators, and venture formation.
  • Coordinate with the Director of Accelerators & Innovation on curriculum‑program integration; participate in TUNIE and GCEC convenings to benchmark curriculum against peer institutions.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in instructional design, education, curriculum & instruction, professional development, or a related field and five years of related experience in education, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Master's degree in Education, Business, Engineering, or a related field (required).
