The Department of Art Education seeks qualified individuals for its Adjunct Instructor pool and welcomes applicants at any time. The specific courses involved may vary from semester to semester, with openings to teach developing periodically based on departmental teaching needs. The anticipated need is for Adjunct Instructors whose duties may include in-person teaching.
Department SummaryOur department enhances students’ understanding of contemporary and past visual art forms. We provide opportunities to examine global artistic production, relevant technologies, critical methods, learning theories, and innovative pedagogical approaches. The campus is highly diverse; we welcome candidates with experience with HSI/MSIs and/or proficiency in languages such as Spanish, Vietnamese, American Sign Language, Chinese (Cantonese, Mandarin and other variations), Arabic, Tagalog, Farsi, French, and Yoruba.
Minimum QualificationsMA in Art Education or a related field is required.
Preferred QualificationsTerminal degree in the discipline is preferred.
Physical RequirementsCommunicating with others to exchange information.
Environmental HazardsNo adverse environmental conditions expected.
Work ScheduleVaries based on assignment.
