Position SummaryThe Career Center Department at the University of North Texas is seeking to hire a Student Services Coordinator (Career Coach) to join the College of Liberal Arts and Social Sciences (CLASS) team. This Career Coach will be the primary career advisor and educator for CLASS students and will collaborate with Social Sciences related Career Coaches to support student career success. The Career Coach will provide one-on-one career coaching, career readiness instruction, career education facilitation in presentations, workshops, and group settings, and event planning to promote networking, internships, and job searches among students, employers, and alumni.
Minimum QualificationsBachelor’s degree in a related field and two years of experience in student services, student affairs, counseling, advising, or related fields; or any equivalent combination of education, training and experience.

- Excellent public speaking skills with experience conducting training workshops.
- Ability to provide leadership and mentoring to student populations.
- Experience networking across departments and programs.
- Ability to communicate and work with diverse student populations.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects.
- Excellent verbal and written communication and computer skills.
Master’s degree in counseling and two years’ experience in Career Services or Career Counseling related to Liberal Arts disciplines.
Job Duties- Interface with students seeking guidance on employment, career development, internships, graduate school, and related issues.
- Analyze student career paths, initiate career assessments, provide resume and interview preparation guidance, and offer internship and job search resources.
- Develop and conduct workshops and seminars; assess and report data on effectiveness and implement improvements to enhance student preparedness for the workplace, including career courses.
- Collaborate with faculty, the Career Center Employer Development and Outreach Team to engage a broad range of companies and alumni, and coordinate with staff on events and mentoring.
- Develop ongoing relationships with faculty and administration in assigned areas.
- Develop reports on student engagement and programming data for assigned areas to support Career Center data collection.

Work ScheduleMonday – Friday 8am–5pm; evenings and weekends as necessary.
