Position OverviewThe Assistant Director for Leadership and Fraternity & Sorority Initiatives provides strategic leadership for university-wide leadership development initiatives that empower students to build leadership capacity, foster meaningful connections, and contribute positively to the UNT community. Reporting to the Director of the Center for Leadership Development, this position leads leadership education initiatives, advises signature leadership programs, and partners closely with the Fraternity & Sorority Life team to enhance the educational, leadership, and developmental experiences of fraternity and sorority members.
Through collaboration, coaching, assessment, and strategic planning, this position advances the mission of the Center for Leadership Development by developing ethical, engaged, and community-minded student leaders.
Bachelor's degree in related field and four years of professional related experience; or any equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
Knowledge,Skills and Abilities
- Ability to show initiative and productivity in the work environment.
- Excellent oral and written communication.
- Ability to respond to crisis situations swiftly, professionally, and accurately.
- Knowledge of student affairs mission and ability to help position division to effectively support student success.
The preferred candidate will possess the following additional qualifications:
Masters Degree in Higher Education, College Student Personnel, or an equivalent degree program. Three years of professional related experience in leadership development and/or fraternity and sorority life. Membership in a fraternity or sorority. Experience supervising employees.
