The primary purpose of this position is to serve as a professional general engineer in support of the acquisition, development, or sustainment of weapon systems, sub-systems, support systems, equipment items, or an equivalent product.

• An engineering degree at the bachelor's level from an institution with an ABET accredited program or in a closely related field is highly desired
• Work may occasionally require travel away from the normal duty station on military or commercial aircraft
• This position meets the professional exemption criteria for the Fair Labor Standards Act (5 CFR 551.208)
• This is an acquisition coded position. Selectee must complete required certification level 1 in Engineering and Technical Management within 24 months of assignment
