Electrical Installation Engineer

Summary

Createselectricaldesignsolutions foraircraftinteriors,including wire routing,harnesses and equipment installations,ensuring Fit, Form and Function to meet customer criteria, quality standards, FAA requirements,budgetand project schedules using Computer Aided Drafting/Design tools.

• Creates electrical installation design solutions foraircraftinterior, including wire routing, harnesses, andequipmentinstallationsusing Computer Aided Drafting/Design tools, ensuring Fit, Form and Function.
• Creates a drawing list of assigned wireand / or electrical equipmentinstallationsfor project level STC.
• Selects materials forelectricalinstallationsbased on electrical requirement sand materials specifications. Evaluates trade-offs in materials, composites, coatings, and other selections to best meet design objectives. Workswith materials suppliers and material testing when needed.
• Ensureselectricaldesigns meet customer criteria, qualitystandardsand FAA requirements.
• Understands Bills of Materials, assembly concepts, fabrication specifications.
• Adheres to budget and project schedules.
• Provides design guidance and feedback to other engineering personnel.
• Provides liaison engineering supportto resolve build and installation issues.
• Interfaces with cross-functional teams including Mechanical, Stress, Manufacturing, and Certification.
• Maintains regular attendance including being at work, being on time to work and working full shifts.
• Other duties as assigned.

Bachelor's degree (B.S.) in Aerospace or Electrical, minimum of 5 years relevant experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Aviation background andaircraftinterior experience preferred.

Employees working on programs subject to International Traffic in Arms Regulations must qualify as a US Person which is defined as a US Citizen, a Permanent Resident who does not work for a foreign company/foreign government/foreign governmental agency or organization, or a political asylee for legal compliance purposes.
