Medical Laboratory Scientist I - Lewisville, TX | Wednesday - Sunday, 3:00 PM - 11:30 PM
Department: Special Chemistry, LCMS
Sign-On Bonus: $5,000 available (external candidates only)
Pay Range: $29.50+ per hour. Shift differential may apply: 10% for some or all hours on second shift and 15% for some or all hours on third shift. Details provided with offer.
Salary offers are based on relevant factors including skills, training, experience, education, and certifications. Market and organizational factors are also considered. Successful candidates may be eligible for annual performance bonus compensation.

- Follow laboratory procedures for specimen handling and processing, test analyses, reporting, and maintaining records of patient test results.
- Maintain records showing proficiency testing samples are tested like patient specimens.
- Analyze specimens using approved procedures.
- Review and release test results.
- Adhere to CLIA, HIPAA, OSHA, and safety guidelines.
- Follow established policies and procedures when test systems are outside acceptable performance levels.
- Identify problems that may affect test performance or reporting and take corrective action or notify the senior technologist or supervisor.
Education: Bachelor's degree required; degree in Chemistry or Biochemistry strongly preferred
- Transcripts may be requested for review during consideration
Work Experience:
- 1 year clinical experience in high complexity testing preferred
- Experience with LC-MS or ICP-MS strongly preferred
- Ability to lift and carry objects; routine lifts include 1–10 lbs frequently, 11–25 lbs occasionally, 36–50 lbs seldom; object over 50 lbs not to be lifted without assistance
- Ability to stand and work at the bench for long periods
- Frequent walking and/or standing
- Use of varied manual and automated pipettes and laboratory instruments requiring manual dexterity
