Position Overview

The UNT Kristin Farmer Autism Center (KFAC) seeks a full-time Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) to provide high-quality clinical services to children across early and middle childhood with autism and related developmental disabilities. Responsibilities include assessment, design, implementation, and ongoing evaluation of evidence-based behavioral interventions, and clinical supervision of behavior technicians delivering direct services. The role emphasizes strong clinical standards, high-quality supervision, ethical practice, and collaboration with families, staff, and interdisciplinary partners.

Minimum Qualifications
  • Master’s degree in Applied Behavior Analysis, Special Education, or Psychology
  • At least two years of related work experience
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Strong knowledge of applied behavior analysis and evidence-based interventions for individuals with autism and developmental disabilities, including structured and naturalistic approaches.
  • Ability to supervise, train, and provide performance feedback to staff at varying skill levels.
  • Strong skills in behavioral measurement, data display, visual analysis, and using data to guide clinical decisions.
  • Ability to conduct functional assessments and develop function-based intervention strategies.
  • Ability to design, implement, and monitor behavior intervention programs with attention to treatment integrity, generalization, and maintenance.
  • Ability to provide caregiver training and support generalization of skills across settings.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills with families, staff, and interdisciplinary professionals.
  • Ability to apply ethical decision-making in complex clinical contexts.
  • Ability to manage multiple responsibilities, prioritize tasks, and maintain professional boundaries.
  • Working knowledge of clinical documentation systems for data collection, session notes, and treatment planning.
  • Comfort in a training-oriented environment, providing and receiving feedback, modeling skills, and supporting development of others.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience providing behavior analytic services across early and middle childhood, including EIBI, skill-based and naturalistic instruction, and intervention for children with complex behavioral and learning profiles.
  • Experience supervising or mentoring staff at varying skill levels, including new staff.
  • Familiarity with electronic health records or clinical practice management systems.
  • Experience working in a clinic, school, or university-affiliated setting.

  • Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA)
  • Licensed Behavior Analyst (LBA) or eligibility for licensure as required by the State of Texas
Job Duties
  • Clinical Services
    • Conduct behavioral and skill-based assessments and develop individualized treatment plans informed by assessment data, developmental considerations, best practices, and payor requirements.
    • Implement, evaluate, and modify intervention programs based on ongoing data analysis and client progress.
    • Manage a clinical caseload of early- and middle-childhood clients with caseload size determined to support supervision quality and outcomes.
    • Communicate regularly with caregivers regarding treatment goals, progress, and provide parent and caregiver training.
  • Supervision and Training
    • Provide clinical supervision, training, and performance feedback to behavior technicians and senior behavior technicians.
    • Ensure fidelity of services through observation, modeling, feedback, and behavioral skills training.
    • Support professional development of student behavior technicians through structured supervision and mentorship.
    • Support staff development aligned with KFAC clinical standards, operational expectations, and ethical guidelines.
