Ultrasonographer – Women’s Care

Work location:

2665 Scripture Street, Denton, TX 76201

Work hours:

Full‑time, 40 hours weekly, Monday to Friday, 8:00am – 5:00pm

Here’s What You Need
  • Associate’s Degree in Ultrasound Technology from an accredited program (required)
  • Completion of the requirements to be certified by RDMS (required)
  • ARDMS – American Registry for Diagnostic and Medical Sonographers upon hire (required)
  • ACLS – Advanced Cardiac Life Support upon hire (preferred)
  • BCLS – Basic Cardiac Life Support exception quarterly 90 days upon hire (required)
  • 2 years related experience (required)
  • 2 years OB/GYN experience (strongly preferred)
  • Maternal Fetal Medicine (MFM) experience (preferred)
  • Familiar with standard concepts, practices and procedures within the field
  • Strong work ethic and a high level of professionalism
  • Specific to OB/GYN
    • Experience performing gynecological and obstetrical sonograms, including:
      • Normal and abnormal pelvic anatomy
      • Fetal anatomy and biophysical profile
      • Fetal anomalies, including ectopic pregnancies
      • Appropriate measurement techniques in transabdominal and endovaginal scanning
      • Ability to identify expected views in all three trimesters of pregnancy
      • Comfortable verbally explaining all techniques and views to physician and patient
What You Will Do
  • Deliver care to patients utilizing the Ultrasonographer process
  • Perform diagnostic sonographic examinations using ultrasonic equipment to evaluate and record critical functional, pathological and anatomical data
  • Prepare room for examinations, greet patients and educate them on procedural information as needed
  • Schedule and coordinate tests as required
  • Process and manipulate images, analyze image quality, and troubleshoot as needed
  • Record test results accurately
  • Operate, care for, and maintain equipment
  • Prepare and maintain operational logs and document malfunctions as needed
  • Maintain equipment and room at sanitary standards
  • Stock and order supplies as needed
  • Perform other duties as assigned
