ER Front Desk Receptionist – Denton Rayzor Ranch

The ER Front Desk Receptionist will provide exceptional customer service for patients; check them in, verify insurance and collect appropriate funds for visits, in an extremely fast-paced emergency room environment.

• Answer phone calls and transfer them to the appropriate department or individual.
• Book patient appointments and process walk‑ins.
• Confirm patient appointments for the next clinic day.
• Process patients’ paperwork, ensuring all fields and data are obtained.
• Copy/scan patient insurance card and driver’s license into the database.
• Verify patients’ current insurance, obtain benefits and eligibility.
• Scan patient information into eClinical
  
  Works.
• Interact with patients regarding collection of funds for both current and past‑due amounts.
• Balance the cash drawer daily.
• Maintain cleanliness and presentation of the office lobby.
• Organize and present the front desk area.

• Must be able to read, write and speak English.
• Must be computer literate.
• Experience with EMR (Electronic Health Records) is preferred.
• Must have excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to work in a fast‑paced environment.
• Regular attendance and timeliness are essential functions of this position.
• Ability to work in an extremely fast‑paced work environment and maintain patient volume and flow.
• Ability to multi‑task and change course of action or tasks as needed.
• Excellent customer service and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to handle pressure from patients, office staff and providers.
