The Health Services Specialist I performs basic health care tasks and specialized detention work in the care and security of inmates and detainees in the county jail or juvenile detention center. Work involves responding to emergency and non-emergency requests, performing medical screenings, patient chart documentation, and distributing medications as prescribed.
Must be 18 years of age.
Must be a United States citizen.
Possession of a valid Driver’s License. Must be able to obtain a State of Texas driver’s license within 90 days of employment.
High school diploma or GED and a certification as an EMT or
