This position requires access to technologies and hardware subject to US national security based export control requirements. All applicants must be US Citizens, or otherwise authorized by the U.S. Government. No company sponsorship will be offered.
Responsibilities- The Application & Middleware IT Administrator is responsible for the deployment, operation, and reliability of applications supporting manufacturing and engineering environments. The role acts as a technical interface between application teams and infrastructure teams to ensure stable and secure operations across on premise and cloud platforms.
- Setup, installation and regular updates of the required middleware and application software code, and their associated configuration, to enable proper execution of desired applications, both for on premise and cloud (AWS) hosted environments.
- Assist application development teams and software and IT architects in defining the required infrastructure and technical layers related to their applicative services to deliver optimum reliability in operations.
- Implement and support automated processes and automation tools for application rollouts and updates.
- Implement adequate controls and monitors to ensure application execution reliability and performance objectives are met, and contingency/adjustments measures are taken in case of deviation.
- Troubleshoot complex incidents and organize documentation and knowledge transfer of simpler support cases to dedicated support teams and helpdesk.

- Bachelor's Degree required in computer science, information technology, engineering, or related field.
- Strong experience in Windows Server environments as system administrator.
- Good experience with middleware such as IIS, Apache/Tomcat, and their setup and support.
- Experience and interest in container environments and tools (specifically Kubernetes/Openshift or AWS Rosa).
- Basic knowledge of SQL Server and DBMS.
- Basic knowledge of networking technologies and protocols.
- Basic knowledge of Linux environments administration (Redhat).
- Ability to create operation or automation scripts using languages such as Power Shell, and job schedulers.
- At least 5 years of experience in IT activities to support engineering and/or industrial production applications and users.
