Position Overview
Seeking a Dev Ops Engineer to support Safran’s Structural Health Monitoring (SHM) platform. The role requires strong Kubernetes/Open Shift expertise and will involve building and operating mission‑critical workloads in the US.
Responsibilities- Collaborate with US IT and the Dev Ops core team in France to transition application teams toward containerization and cloud‑native architectures.
- Administer day‑to‑day operations of the US Red Hat Open Shift cluster.
- Deploy and support shared services such as Hashi Corp Vault and Gitlab.
- Manage application life cycles across virtual servers (Linux/Windows) and container environments (Open Shift).
- Use Terraform and Ansible to deploy applications on AWS, ensuring repeatable and scalable infrastructure.
- Maintain SOPs, runbooks, and conduct root‑cause analysis for incidents.
- Provide Tier‑3 support for complex deployment issues and optimize system performance.
- Lead upgrades and changes following ITIL‑based global change‑management procedures.
- Define and implement monitoring strategies (Prometheus/Grafana) to ensure the health of critical components.
- Contribute to the definition and evolution of Dev Ops standards and ensure local compliance with global governance.
- Adhere to safe‑work practices and support the health, safety, and environmental program.
- Maintain regular, predictable attendance.

- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (preferred).
- 2–3 years of hands‑on experience in Kubernetes/Open Shift administration and cloud deployments.
- Proficient Kubernetes/Open Shift administration with solid field experience.
- Proficient CI/CD pipeline development (Gitlab or similar) and debugging.
- Proficient Helm templating and chart debugging.
- Foundational knowledge of AWS (or similar) and the ability to automate deployments with Terraform and Ansible.
- Proficient Linux and Windows OS administration.
- Experience with Hashi Corp Vault, Prometheus, Victoria Metrics, Loki, and Grafana.
