Role Description The Buyer – Packaging & Logistics is a full-time, on-site role based in Denton, TX, responsible for sourcing and managing packaging materials and supporting logistics coordination that support Company's production and distribution operations. This role oversees purchasing activities for packaging components, negotiates with suppliers and vendors, and monitors inventory levels to ensure availability while controlling costs. The Buyer collaborates with production, operations, and quality teams to align packaging specifications with product and brand requirements and supports packaging design updates for both branded and private label lines.

Day-to-day responsibilities include analyzing demand forecasts, issuing purchase orders, tracking deliveries, resolving supply or freight issues, and continuously improving procurement and logistics processes to enhance efficiency and reliability.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, Operations, or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience.
• 3+ years of experience possess strong Purchasing and Procurement skills to manage supplier relationships, sourcing, and cost control.
• Candidates should possess solid Packaging Design and specification skills to support functional, brand-aligned, and compliant packaging solutions.
• Candidates should possess advanced Analytical Skills to interpret data, forecasts, and cost structures for informed decision-making.
• Candidates should possess effective Negotiation skills to secure favorable pricing, terms, and service levels with vendors and logistics partners.
• Relevant experience in packaging, supply chain, or logistics within manufacturing or consumer goods; pet food or food industry experience is a plus.
• Ability to work on-site in Denton, TX, collaborate cross-functionally, and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficiency with ERP or purchasing systems and standard productivity tools (e.g., spreadsheets, reporting software).
