Responsibilities- Clean and sanitize building facilities, including floors (sweeps, mops, scrubs, strips, waxes, buffs), carpets, and other surfaces.
- Dust furniture, walls, ceilings, windows, woodwork, and other building surfaces; clean restrooms, baths, fixtures, and drinking fountains.
- Remove trash and waste, manage recycling, and transport materials as scheduled.
- Unlock building doors as required for functions and programs; move furniture for cleaning purposes.
- Observe safety and security precautions appropriate to the work performed.
- Communicate with custodial supervisors daily and report maintenance needs or safety issues.
- Follow departmental cleaning standards provided by supervisory leadership.
There are no minimum education or experience requirements for this role. Employees may be responsible for accessing critical organizational infrastructure and must maintain security and integrity related to this role.
Knowledge,Skills And Abilities
- Ability to follow oral and written instructions; ability to read and understand labels on chemicals.
- Ability to apply mathematical concepts for tasks such as measuring and mixing chemicals.
- Sufficient knowledge of cleaning methods and proper use of cleaning equipment.
- Ability to operate vacuum cleaners, floor waxers, floor buffers, and other cleaning equipment.
- Physical ability to perform standing, stooping, lifting of materials and equipment; ability to move around work sites.
- Ability to recognize and report maintenance needs in buildings; knowledge of safety and security precautions.
The preferred candidate will possess: stable employment record and physical ability to perform work involving standing, stooping, operation of cleaning equipment, and lifting of trash and equipment.

Job Duties- Consistently completes expected duties in a timely manner without constant supervision; takes responsibility for own work and follows through on commitments.

- Communicates with custodial supervisors daily and reports issues promptly.
- Follows all departmental cleaning standards provided by supervisory leadership.
- Communicating with others to exchange information; ascending/descending ladders, stairs, scaffolding, ramps, and similar structures; moving about to accomplish tasks.
- Operating machinery and/or power tools; lifting and moving objects up to 20 pounds; repetitive motions of wrists, hands, and fingers.
- Exposure to fumes or airborne particles; noisy environments; work with toxic or caustic chemicals.
Sunday - Thursday, 10:30 PM to 7:00 AM.
