Overview

JOB SUMMARY:

A full-time welder fabricator for Denton yard is capable to repair equipment trailers and equipment. Must be able to Weld stick and wire feed; looking for an experienced welder that can read blueprints and has good fabrication skills.

• Welds on equipment materials according to standards set for structured mild steel
• Maintains safe working practices at all times.

• Excellent oral/written communication and phone skills
• Strong interpersonal and customer service
• Ability to work independently as well as field operations
• Must be organized & detail oriented
• Strong work ethic

If applicable, “light duty” may be available depending on the work location and project schedule

This position requires a minimum of a high school degree and additional training in welding and 1-2 years of field construction and/or utility industry experience.

The physical, emotional and environmental demands of this position take on the characteristics typical of the construction environment. This position will frequently perform duties where standing, sitting, walking, lifting more than 50 pounds, reaching overhead, climbing, kneeling, extreme heat, extreme cold, wet/humid conditions, dust, odors and moving machinery are part of daily routines. The position has deadlines under pressure as well as irregular activity schedules.

The workday includes a minimum of 8.0 hours per day with breaks taken according to the daily project schedule. This position has measurable performance criteria, works under stress and with a majority of time spent indoors.
