Job Overview & Essential FunctionsMurphy-Hoffman Company, LLC is North America's largest Kenworth truck dealership group and leasing group. As MHC continues to grow, we have an opening for a Service Manager. The role of the Service Manager is responsible for the day-to-day operation of the branch's Service Department in compliance with established policies and procedures.
Responsibilities- Plan, direct, and control the day-to-day activities of the Service Department to meet growth and profit objectives.
- Formulate major objectives, specific plans, procedures, and programs for the Service Department.
- Evaluate department results and performance against objectives.
- Maintain the highest quality standards in serving customers and identifying their needs.
- Assess present and future needs, trends, problems, and profit opportunities of the Service Department.
- Establish short and long‑term operating and financial objectives for the department.
- Ensure approved policies and objectives are clearly understood and effectively applied.
- Formulate annual and monthly sales, profit objectives, and expense budgets in accordance with company goals.
- Review and appraise results of activities within the department and take appropriate action.
- Travel with outside sales force to customer locations regularly to promote the Service Department and dealerships.
- Work with the Parts Manager and outside sales force proactively to improve labor sales efforts.
- Maintain appropriate communication within and between all departments within the branch.
- Promote safe work habits and ensure safety rules are followed.
- Develop and maintain policies and practices that ensure positive employee and customer relations.
- Stay informed about competition, market conditions, and department operations, and keep the Branch Manager informed.
- Coordinate processing of warranty claims with the Warranty Manager.
- Administer warranties and policy adjustments fairly and honestly for customers, dealerships, and vendors.
- Perform other duties as assigned by a supervisor.

Qualifications- CDL preferred.
- Minimum four years of experience in a related field.
- Excellent leadership and communication skills.
- Previous supervisory experience.
