Assistant Brewer Job Duties
- Assist head brewer in all aspects of the brewing process, including:
- Mashing in
- Grain Out
- Weighing out hops and other mash/kettle additions
- Post brew CIP and cleanup
- Conditioning the beer
- Packaging the beer
- Perform cellar work such as:
- Transferring beer
- Carbonating beer
- Filtering beer
- Cleaning and sanitizing kegs and tanks
- Clean and maintain the brewing equipment
- Brew Small Batch and R&D beers on the 5 BBL system.
- Monitor the brewing process and make adjustments as needed
- Assist with the development of new recipes
- Keep records of the brewing process
- Work with the head brewer to ensure that all beers meet the desired specifications
- Perform other duties as assigned
