Pipe Fabricator – Entry Level Hands-On Training

Fabricator Pay

$22/hr

• 1st - Mon-Fri (6am to 2:30pm); occasional OT available
• 2nd - Mon-Fri (3pm to 11:30pm)

• This is an entry‑level position to learn the process of assembly and installation of pipes in units by performing the following duties in reasonable and productive frames:

• Ability to bend, cut, and shape metal.
• Ability to use acetylene and oxygen torch set.
• Must be able to read and understand blueprints.
• Must be able to read a tape measure to 1/8th inch.
• Must be able to use hand tools.
• Experience with brazing and/or TIG welding is helpful.
• Must have a high school diploma or GED.

• Cut, thread, and bend pipe with a hydraulic pipe bender or hand tools.
• Assemble and install variety of metal and non‑metal pipes, tubes, and fittings; including iron, steel, copper and plastic.
• Train and work in multiple types of manufacturing positions (i.e., assembly, paint, wire and weld).
• Other duties as assigned.
