Operate resistance spot welding equipment to assemble dryer panel vane units—attaching vane pockets to vane bodies—while maintaining top-tier safety, quality, and throughput. You’ll read drawings, prepare equipment, execute welds, validate results, and communicate issues before they become problems.

• Complete initial and ongoing training in job functions, lean manufacturing, and related topics.
• Meet or exceed Engineering Documentation compliance standards.
• Interpret fabrication drawings/work orders; allocate materials; prep the welder for operation.
• Program per qualified procedures; set stops/guides to specification.
• Position and secure work pieces; select/design proper tip sizes to meet weld tolerances.
• Change dies, stamps, and jigs to blueprint/work order requirements.
• Execute spot weld operations and perform routine maintenance.
• Measure and inspect pocket gaps/variances; conduct shear tests to verify weld quality.
• Communicate any nonconformances in materials, drawings, or parts; uphold strict quality standards.
• Follow OSHA/company safety rules; wear required PPE; maintain a clean, organized work area.
• Allocate time effectively; manage schedules and deadlines; submit accurate daily reporting.
• Comply with company policies/procedures and applicable regulations.
• Perform other similar duties as assigned.

Required

• High school diploma or an equivalent mix of education/experience supporting core job duties.
• Familiarity with manufacturing safety practices and regulations.

Preferred

• 2+ years in manufacturing.
• Proficiency with measurements and tape measure usage.

Positions in this function typically require:
Standing and walking for long periods, often throughout an entire shift. Frequent Bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling, and climbing. Reaching with hands and arms and using common hand tools or warehouse equipment. Regularly lifting, carrying, pushing or pulling objects typically up to 50 pounds, and occasionally heavier items.

• The job is usually performed in a warehouse setting, which may involve exposure to varying temperatures.
• Must be alert to warehouse hazards, such as forklift traffic and stacked products.
• Compliance with company attendance standard. Work hours may vary during peak production cycles.
