WhatYou’ll Do
- Partner with the Safety Manager to direct safety meetings and ensure ongoing safety training for all shop employees
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to link operational KPIs and provide recommendations to improve financial and operational efficiency
- Perform performance evaluations, create individual development plans and assign tasks to the most appropriate team members
- Along with Operations Manager, lead personnel in a professional manner, aligned with CMC’s Guiding Principles
- Communicate daily with Shift Leads and Production Operators/Material Handlers to identify opportunities, issues, and concerns
- Demonstrate leadership by driving initiatives, influencing outcomes, and fostering accountability
- Drive continuous improvement in processes, employee productivity, uptime improvements, and lead time reductions
- Maintain and submit all daily and monthly reports required by management
- Proficient in Microsoft Office:
Word, Outlook, Excel, and Power Point - Excellent communication skills in both written and verbal form
- Experience with industrial electrical repairs including troubleshooting and repair of AC‑DC drives and motors, PLCs, and 480 V 3‑phase electrical systems
- SAP experience strongly preferred
- Experience with Salesforce a plus
- Excellent problem‑solving, analytical, and troubleshooting skills
- Ability to multitask, meet deadlines and handle stress in a fast‑paced environment
- 3–5+ years of supervisory or managerial experience in a production, manufacturing, or rebar related environment (large facility experience preferred)
- High School Diploma or GED required
- Bachelor’s degree preferred
