Maintenance Technician / Mechanic, Industrial Maintenance

Pay Rate: $33.82 - $34.87
Job OverviewAs a Level I Maintenance Technician, you will support our manufacturing operations by providing corrective and preventive maintenance activity with a focus on improving equipment reliability and maintainability.
General Requirements- High School Diploma or GED;
Technical degree or certification in Industrial Maintenance, Mechatronics, or related field is strongly preferred. - Strictly adhere to Lockout/Tagout (LOTO), arc flash, and other safety protocols.
- Proficiency in mechanical troubleshooting, including reading schematics, using multimeters, hand tools, power tools, and precision measuring instruments.
- Utilize a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) to document work orders, track time, and log parts usage in real‑time.
- Strong mechanical background is expected.
- 2‑year Technical Degree desired.
- Must be able to lift 45 lbs and work in awkward positions, in excessive heat, and on your feet for up to 12 hours a day.
- Welding ability and ability to increase proficiency integral part of job expectation.
- Act as the first responder to equipment breakdowns, identifying root causes, and repairing mechanical/electrical failures on production lines, motors, and hydraulic/pneumatic tools.
- Under the direction of the supervisor, troubleshoot, disassemble, repair, replace, assemble, install, relocate, and modify complex mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic equipment.
- Positive attitude with ability and willingness to be a team player.
- Desire to give input to grow the department in all business acumen/goals.
- Provide/complete tasks effectively and efficiently with minimal time and expense to the company.
- Follow prescribed safety procedures to prevent injury to self and others and maintain safe equipment and conditions in the entire plant.
- Continue growth through knowledge of all established procedures and operating standards; expected to be current/pass all testing given by the company/assignees.
- Maintain a safe and clean shop and working areas under 5‑S.
- Perform other tasks/requests as assigned by supervisor.
- Working conditions:
constantly exposed to fairly high levels of noise, frequent standing, walking, bending, kneeling, twisting, occasional climbing. Lifting up to 45 lbs. Some activities may require exertion up to 100 lbs of force.
Maintain an attitude of learning to stay current with maintenance procedures and equipment. Complete an annual maintenance skills assessment and perform assigned training activities based on assessment results.
SafetyReport all accidents, incidents, injuries, and unsafe acts or conditions immediately to the supervisor. Follow prescribed safety procedures to prevent injury and maintain safe equipment and conditions in the entire plant.
Physical/Environmental DemandsAbility to meet the physical requirements of working safely in an industrial maintenance environment. Follow all company environmental rules/procedures and handle all materials in a manner designed to minimize environmental impact.
