Position: AMI- Mechanical Assembler (Mon-Fri 6:30am-3pm)

Mechanical Assembler – Denton, Texas

Reporting to the Production Supervisor, the Mechanical Assembler is the heartbeat of our production floor, assembling the mechanical core of cutting‑edge equipment welders rely on every day.

Responsibilities
  • Translate technical drawings, exploded views, and mechanical diagrams into fully assembled equipment.
  • Use hand tools, power tools, jigs, and torque wrenches to assemble housings, mounts, regulators, feed systems, and precision components.
  • Ensure components fit flawlessly, meeting tight tolerances and clean finishes.
  • Identify misalignments, mechanical faults, or design quirks during assembly and collaborate with engineering or QC to resolve them.
  • Run mechanical functionality checks, airflow tests, and component diagnostics before equipment moves to final testing or shipping.
Qualifications
  • High school degree or equivalent experience in mechanical assembly, preferably in heavy‑duty equipment, industrial tools, or welding systems.
  • Solid understanding of pneumatic and mechanical systems; hydraulic experience is a plus.
  • Strong ability to interpret mechanical drawings, BOMs (Bills of Materials), and assembly instructions.
  • Manual dexterity, mechanical intuition, and pride in precision.
  • Comfort working with metal parts, sharp edges, and in a fast‑paced, hands‑on environment.
Working Conditions
  • Position is based in a dynamic manufacturing facility where safety, precision, and teamwork are paramount.
  • Requirements include PPE:
    Hi‑visibility vest, safety glasses, and steel‑toed safety shoes.
  • Work involves standing, walking, bending, and lifting (up to 50 lbs) throughout the day.
  • Exposure to noise, metal dust, and varying temperatures may occur; safety protocols are in place.
  • Work closely with other assembly technicians, engineers, and quality inspectors in a collaborative team setting.
  • Occasional overtime may be required to meet production demands.
