We’re a growing, quality‑driven craft brewery dedicated to producing exceptional beer and cultivating a vibrant community around it. Our team values consistency, creativity and collaboration. As we expand our production and portfolio, we’re looking for a Head Brewer who can lead with expertise, passion, and vision.
Position OverviewThe Head Brewer oversees all brewing operations—from recipe development and production scheduling to quality control and cellar management. This role is both strategic and hands‑on, ideal for someone who thrives in a fast‑paced environment and takes pride in crafting outstanding beer.
Key Responsibilities- Lead all brewing, cellaring, packaging, and quality‑control operations
- Develop new recipes and refine existing ones to maintain a diverse, high‑quality lineup
- Manage production schedules to meet demand while maintaining consistency and efficiency
- Oversee raw material procurement, inventory management, and vendor relationships
- Maintain strict sanitation and safety standards throughout the brewery
- Train, mentor, and supervise brewing and cellar staff
- Track and analyze production data to improve processes and reduce waste
- Collaborate with leadership on long‑term production planning and brand development
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations
- Represent the brewery at events, festivals, and collaborations when needed
- 3–5+ years of professional brewing experience; leadership experience strongly preferred
- Deep knowledge of brewing science, fermentation, and quality control
- Experience with brewhouse operations, cellar work, and packaging lines
- Ability to lift 55+ lbs and work in hot, cold, and wet environments
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Familiarity with brewery management software and production tracking tools
- Passion for craft beer and a commitment to continuous improvement
- Formal brewing education (Siebel, UC Davis, etc.)
- Experience scaling production in a growing brewery
- Sensory training and experience running tasting panels
- Mechanical aptitude for troubleshooting equipment
