Overview
Chisholm Trail RSVP serves as a VISTA Intermediary agency that works with nonprofit agencies to alleviate poverty in North Texas. The VISTA project's goal is to expand and strengthen the capacity of partner agencies to deliver quality services to North Texas communities. The Leader will work closely with multiple sites and mentor up to 14 VISTAs. The VISTA will work with the Project Director to ensure overall Project growth and sustainability.
MemberDuties
VISTA Leader will promote the placement of 14 VISTA members in 7 sites. The VISTA Leader will support the recruitment of high-quality VISTA members ensuring overall program growth, stability and sustainability by participating in community events, developing social media content for various platforms, and posting service opportunities on university Job and Student Announcement Boards. The VISTA Leader will support members in establishing community relationships.
The VISTA Leader will train members in tracking data and metrics to document met objectives and successes. The VISTA Leader will help members address poverty related issues in the communities they serve. The VISTA Leader will review VADs and SOLs for clarity. Review VISTA applications and references. Screen new VISTA applicants. Work with Site Supervisors on key elements.
